KANNAPOLIS, NC – (Sept. 21, 2016) – North Carolina Charter Educational Foundation will hold two ceremonies to officially dedicate its new schools to the communities it serves. Official dedication ceremonies will be held for two new K-8 schools in Iredell and Cabarrus Counties.  The board also is overseeing the opening of two expansion schools, Cabarrus Charter Academy Upper School and Langtree Charter Academy Upper School, both serving grades 6-10 this year and adding 11th and 12th grades in subsequent years.

Kannapolis Charter Academy

Iredell Charter Academy

Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016; 11 a.m.

Barbra Bryan, the schools’ governing board president will kick off the events followed by comments from each school’s principal.  After student performances, Charter Schools USA CEO and President, Jon Hage will present closing remarks and will dedicate the schools.

“Our commitment continues as we bring high quality educational options to families in North Carolina,” said Barbra Bryan, governing board chair. “In addition to two elementary schools, we have also expanded two of our existing schools to become high schools.  It is gratifying to see the fruits of our labors combined with CSUSA and our community to do what is best for students.”
